2 Ingredients, Real Hot Chocolate.

This is a two-ingredient (well, three?) recipe for an amazing, rich dark chocolate drink. The ingredients are right off the shelf, the assembly simple, and the result is just fantastic. You'll be happy to be sipping this rich dessert drink under the stars after a day of adventuring, however hard core it was.
Our hot chocolate-sipping view from the snow kitchen.
Ingredients & Directions
(makes four servings)
  • 100g (240mL) skim milk powder
  • approx. 140g (180mL) Good-quality dark chocolate chips/slivers (60%), more if that's how you roll
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 litre water (to add at camp)
At home: Combine all the ingredients except for water in a pouch.
At camp: Add 1 litre of cold water to your pot, dissolve the contents of the pouch in it. Stir well while bringing the mixture up to a boil-and keep stirring until the chocolate has melted into the mixture.

*Note: you can make this at home too with fresh milk instead of the powdered version, in a pot over a stove, or in a mug using a microwave. If microwaving, watch out for milk boiling over the mug, and keep stirring at ~30 second intervals.

Edit: if making in town, this is really delicious with almond milk...
